According to news on April 24, on today’s 2021 China Space Day, the official name of my country’s first Mars rover was officially announced as "Zhu Rong".

In February of this year, the National Space Administration's Lunar Exploration and Space Engineering Center completed the initial review of my country’s first Mars rover global naming event, and selected Hony, Kirin, Nezha, Chitu, Zhu Rong, Seeking, Hot Wheels There are 10 names in total, Chasing Dream, Tianxing and Xinghuo, which are the naming scope of my country’s first Mars rover.

In March this year, the call for names formally determined the top three votes, namely Zhu Rong, Nezha, and Hony. Zhu Rong ranked first with 504466 votes, Nezha ranked second with 444132 votes, and Hony ranked third with 417647 votes.

According to the rules, the experts will vote for the final review, and the online voting and the expert voting of the review committee will be weighted 1:1, and the order of the top three will be finally determined. The top three orders determined by the final review will be submitted to the National Space Administration for approval in accordance with procedures to determine the final name of China's first Mars rover.
