China and the U.S. reach a joint declaration on enhanced climate action,agreed to establish an action working group
Xinhua News Agency, Glasgow, UK, November 10 (Reporters Guo Shuang and Xu Feng) On November 10, China and the United States issued the "Sino-US Glasgow Joint Declaration on Strengthening Climate Action in the 2020s" during the United Nations Climate Change Conference in Glasgow. The two sides appreciate the work done so far and pledge to continue to work together and work with all parties to strengthen the implementation of the Paris Agreement. Based on the principles of common but differentiated responsibilities and respective capabilities, taking into account the national conditions of each country, strengthened climate actions are taken to effectively respond to the climate crisis. The two sides agreed to establish a "Working Group on Enhanced Climate Action in the 2020s" to promote cooperation and multilateral processes on climate change between the two countries.
