The mutant strains currently appearing are from the United Kingdom, Brazil, Nigeria, South Africa and other places. Now it seems that for the b1351 mutant strain in South Africa, we use a whole virus inactivated vaccine, which is the most commonly used vaccine of Kexinghe Sinopharm in China, and the protection rate against this mutant strain has been reduced. Now we are working hard to develop vaccines against mutant strains.

Academician Zhong Nanshan introduced that there are currently nearly 50 vaccines in the development process in China, and more than 200 vaccines are being developed in the world.
