Google Assistant has over 500 million active users

After Amazon announced that it has exceeded 100 million devices integrating Alexa voice assistant, Google announced that its voice assistant Google Assistant has more than 500 million active users.

Google also revealed the upcoming new features of Google Assistant, including: reading articles and web pages for users with a more natural human-like voice, which will be extended to read e-mail in the future; through cooperation with TV manufacturers such as Hisense and TCL, Google Assistant will be able to turn off the TV; others include redesigned speed dials, on-screen cards, and new privacy-conscious voice commands. Google hopes more TV manufacturers will install microphones for far-field voice recognition.
